Dian Yu, M.D. is a comprehensive ophthalmologist, Cornea, Cataract, and Refractive Surgeon at Mitchell & Morin Eye Institute in Bethesda, MD. She provides medical, laser, and surgical eye care to residents in Southern Maryland and Northern Virginia. Dr. Yu earned her medical degree from Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences in Buffalo and completed a residency in Ophthalmology at Medstar Washington Eye Center/Georgetown Ophthalmology Program, followed by a Fellowship in Cornea, External Disease & Refractive Surgery at Johns Hopkins Wilmer Eye Institute.

As a corneal specialist, Dr. Yu has a special interest and expertise in corneal transplants, pterygium surgery, ocular surface disease, corneal dystrophies such as Fuchs Dystrophy, and Keratoconus. Additionally, as a cataract surgeon, Dr. Yu conducts routine and complex laser cataract surgery and lens implants (IOL), including Toric lens implants to correct astigmatism and multifocal lenses to help cataract surgery patients reduce their dependence on eyeglasses, bifocals, or reading glasses, and achieve a full range of vision after cataract surgery. She also performs Refractive Lens Exchange (RLE) and Implantable Collagen Lenses (ICL).
